Whenever the economy changes for the worse the universities fill their student rolls to the max. Especially the graduate schools, because the jobs are scarce and what better place is there to be than staying in college. The only downturn is that college costs money. I have talked to some students that have built up their debt to over one hundred thirty thousand from student loans. That is like having an extra mortgage strapped on your back. Student loans are just like other loans, they carry an interest rate, a required monthly payment with a pay off. Most students are building up several of these student loans over the years of college. Now when it is time to graduate they have to start paying the student loans off. Bummer. To save money you can consolidate student loans to reduce your interest rate and your payments. This would be good to reduce my payments and save a little money.   It is kind-of amazing if you think about it, you go off to college for higher learning, acquire tens of thousands of dollars in debt the start your career.  It used to be you started off you career and then you acquired debt in the form of assets. Anyway if you are interested in having your student loans consolidated visit the folks of StudentLoansHow.com, the site has lots on information on student loan consolidation and the ebook The Ultimate Guide To Student Loan Consolidation.
