Any and everyone that has been through the experience of building their own home will have a story to tell. There are so many things that create highs and lows during the process but in the end you turn out with a home that you picked out from the ground up and there is something very satisfying about that. The first thing that we did was go over home plans. We looked at all the different styles to decide which we wanted because we were not even sure what we wanted in the beginning. We were in amazement at some of the luxury home plans with there space and beauty. We did have our land and were aware of how we wanted our new home to sit on the property. We were told that we might want to look at cottage home plans since there were others of that type in the neighborhood. We found ourselves going with a ranch style home to take advantage of the amazing mountain views. Which ever plan you choose it is a great experience and we recommend it to anyone that is patient and wanting to have a hand in the design of their home.

Archive for June, 2009If you appreciate a good quality sound on your radio then HD radio is the sound for you. Being the parent of teenagers I have learned a whole new appreciation for different music styles. One thing that I know for me is I love a good crystal clear sound when I am listening to local radio stations. There is a new radio that is not a satellite radio but a ground antenna based radio it provides that crystal clear sound, HD Radio. You can also do song tagging and be able to put your favorite songs on your iPod. Is that not perfect to be able to achieve that sound to your iPod and listen any time you want to your favorite songs. A Jensen JiMS 525i is the HD radio that will give you this experience. To be able to hear every beat of the song with clarity like you have not heard from a basic radio before and that is because this is not a basic radio but it is a digital version of FM and AM radio. the world with HD radio just got a whole lot clearer and you can be apart of this sound revolution. The site called Epix will have hundreds of full length movies to watch. This is cool, kinda like Hulu. The Epix television channel will start showing recent movies that on average are over two years old. Watch the movies with no interruption. I mean there will be no commercials. The Epix Project will include hundreds of movies that are stored in the vaults of the movie studios. The limitation is that from the libraries of the three movie studios. As long as the movie is available for airing on the TV channel, it will be available to stream online. And since most movies have a lifespan of about 2 years on TV, it adds up to a lot of movies. BTW, Epix is going to be Free. Epix TV is trying to become part of your cable and satellite provider’s standard TV package. This is even better than I could have hoped. Epix(part deux) Enter EpixHD. The EpixHD will have the 720p @ 3 MB HD quality and their movie selection will be again from their vaults. If the movies are 2 years old and available on Epix TV you can stream them on EpixHD. Cool. The EpixHD is intergrating social features where four peeps can watch a Private Screening of a movie at the same time, and discuss via some sort of real time chat, maybe intergrate Twitter. We can only hope. New name could be Social TV or Social Movie theatre. Anyway this is coming to what I predicted a few years back. All TV’s will go away in a few years and your computer will be the device you use to watch TV on. It will happen. It looks like they have put lipstick on live.com and re-branded it Bing. I have been playing with Bing to check on rank results of my blogs and websites, It is my passion. Cool, one of my sites has a results of 792,000,000. I am starting to like this search engine more. This name change to Bing should be the thing for Microsoft and does not have to start over with some new search engine. The search engine has a neat little feature where it lists your last search history on the side of the screen. Reminds me of Unix and history of commands that I used last. This one feature if a very useful tool when trying to do some keyword research. The search results come very quickly once you insert your keywords or question. I will play with more over the coming days to see things change as Microsoft spends hundreds of millions of dollars on advertising of Bing.com, there is TV, internet ads and infomercials. We will see over the next coming months to see if Bing will deliver the traffic like Yahoo, to me that is what Bing needs to compare itself to first. Then Google. What you think?
