Archive for December, 2009It is definitely winter and boy is it cold. Everyone needs to remember to keep their furnace filter clean so your power bill can stay at the lowest possible cost. This is a time that our power bills can run through the roof if we are not careful and everything makes a difference from cleaning our filters to sealing leaking windows. We even had wind come through our plug outlets in an apartment we lived in many years ago! We could not get that place warm for nothing. It was as though we were trying to warm half of our state! I guess that is one reason I appreciate the fact that now we have a well insulated house and keeping our filters clean is one of our biggest things to do in winter preparation. There are several things you plan for when you are planning your vacation. You plan your destination and budget. You plan what you need to bring but who in the world would know that the thing that played the biggest roll on our vacation you could not plan for. It is not easy to plan on needing a motorhome towing service. We thought that we would experience so much on our vacation but we had no idea what that would all entail! As I look at the amazing inventories that stores today have to carry I can not see a way that it could be done without the barcode scanners. This is one of those times that inventions are keeping up with the growth of society. There is no telling what our futures will hold as well as the futures of our children in the world of inventions but it is exciting to think about! |
