If you have ever been to a practice of a major league game you have probably seen the coaches timing the pitches of their players. It is so much fun to watch them with their radar guns as they time the balls to see the speed of the pitch. It is remarkable at the speed some of the pitchers can get those balls. It certainly gave my boys and I a different perspective as we went to the game. We were able to tell the people around us about the speeds we had witnessed at practice and they were as surprised as I was. Can you imagine how fast a hockey puck travels during a game, or a tennis ball? I thought about how having a radar gun might deter speeders on our road that think they are on the interstate as they drive through our neighborhood. There are many different types of radar guns including sports, baseball, police and traffic radar guns. There are also speed pitch booth and baseball training guns.
