Just when you think you know everything something else comes along to shoot you down. I had not heard or perhaps I did not listen but there is such a thing as an unlocked phone and a locked phone. If you have a locked phone it will only recognize the SIM card from a a certain carrier. If you have an unlocked phone it will recognize a SIM card from any carrier. Basically the lock is a software setting that keeps a cell phone loyal to only one carrier is how it is described. This is all done with a microchip! This was news to me but as I said I may not have been listening and now, once again, I know everything.
