Over the year I have noticed we are becoming less restricted with computer hardware and developing Software as a Service or SaaS. A software saas model is a software distribution model in which applications are hosted by a vendor or service provider and are made available to customers over a network like our beloved Internet. This software as a service is becoming an increasingly prevalent delivery model of data.

Of course one of the issues with data being on the net is cloud security. All data needs to be protected. Clouds make data centrally located and available anywhere there is a computer or tablet. Some of the new cloud security features consist of what is called Context aware security. This type of security utilizes supplemental information to improve security decisions at the time the decision is made. The goal Context aware security is to have more accurate security. A context aware has been introduced to help manage the enforcement of a cloud data policy designed to be simple to manage. This software service has be be simple to manage since you will access the data with computers, laptops, tablets and cell phone data devices.

My take is I like the way you sync up the data on the cloud, like a contact list with your cell phone, tablet and your net book all at the same time. The technology is really working for us now and making accessing data easier.

When our dinosaur of a computer decided that it would become extinct we found ourselves looking for a new computer. I find it hard to believe that not that many years ago no one had personal computers and now we find ourselves lost without them. The funny thing is we are in a room full of people texting and communicating with people that are not in the room. Somehow that just rings strange to me. I was at lunch and was sitting at a table watching this phenomenon when a girl came up and sat beside another lady. The girl sat there for quite a few moments but the lady was engrossed in a conversation on her laptop. When the girl said something to her she jumped almost dropping her laptop. She explained that she did not see her and she uses her laptop to talk to her friends while at lunch the young girl responded that she used her lunch for making new friends! They now have lunch together everyday and have became friends. I wonder if we put down our personal devices for a few minutes everyday would we notice more around us. Of course then we would want to text our friends to tell them what we saw so I guess it would not work!
