Sometimes days seem to take a serious mood. We have a tendency to focus on the tasks at hand. There are so many things to take care of in a day that we sometimes forget to laugh. Or even worse we go an entire day without cracking a smile. You can effect the atmosphere of a conversation as well as a room with a simple smile. Can you imagine what a better day everyone would have if the day started or ended with a smile. Laughing or even smiling can make you live longer and in the short term it sure makes the day better. Nothing can increase productivity as fast as a positive attitude. A positive attitude starts with a smile. You can get your daily dose of smiles via the internet. Ok all you rodeo fans the time is getting closer for the event of the year! If you are a rodeo fan then you know the Houston Rodeo & Livestock Show is just around the corner. This rodeo is a rodeo that provides a whole day of fun for the whole family. You can start your day by seeing the livestock show. If you have ever been to a livestock show you know this is where you can appreciate some of the beautiful animals the ranchers are most proud of. You then can feel everyone getting ready for the big event. Cowboys and cowgirls gather to put on a rodeo show that everyone enjoys. The crowd cheers for their favorites. It is so exciting as your favorite gets in the arena and you do not have to wonder which is the crowd favorite! There are seats on the side of the arena that give you a view of the center action and you get complimentary food and drinks. After the day of action there is still more. In the evening a concert starts featuring top artist. They have different music for the different nights of rodeo. You can choose which night you want to attend. The top 15 money makers from each category come out to compete for the World Champion titles in their category. This makes for a very exciting atmosphere. At the end of the competition the World All-Around Champion Cowboy gets his title. Can you imagine the excitement as everyone is cheering for their favorite cowboy! This event is organized by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and features competitors from all of the main events from steer wrestling to calf roping. This makes this rodeo event the Rose Bowl of all rodeos. As you can imagine the tickets for this event sell out quickly. All of you Manny Pacquiao fans probably already know about the big event coming in March. For those of you that somehow missed the news Floyd “Money” Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao is going to take place in the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 13, 2010.  It is going to be an event. A good boxing event is so much fun to watch with all of the excitement and this event will not be an exception.

The folks at  MGM, Paramount and Lionsgate studios have a new project coming up that will create a new TV channel for watching your favorite movies. The site called Epix will have hundreds of full length movies to watch. This is cool, kinda like Hulu.  The Epix television channel will start showing recent  movies that on average are over two years old. Watch the movies with no interruption. I mean there will be no commercials. The Epix Project will include hundreds of movies that are stored in the vaults of the movie studios. The limitation is that from the libraries of the three movie studios. As long as the movie is available for airing on the TV channel, it will be available to stream online. And since most movies have a lifespan of about 2 years on TV, it adds up to a lot of movies. BTW, Epix is going to be Free. Epix TV is trying to become part of your cable and satellite provider’s standard TV package. This is even better than I could have hoped.

Epix(part deux)  Enter EpixHD.

The EpixHD will have the 720p @ 3 MB HD quality and their movie selection will be again from their vaults. If the movies are 2 years old and available on Epix TV you can stream them on EpixHD. Cool.  The EpixHD is intergrating social features where four peeps can watch a Private Screening of a movie at the same time, and discuss via some sort of real time chat, maybe intergrate Twitter. We can only hope. New name could be Social TV or Social Movie theatre.  Anyway this is coming to what I predicted a few years back.  All TV’s will go away in a few years and your computer will be the device you use to watch TV on.  It will happen.
