There is something about a home town that people hold close in their hearts. It does not matter where you are living now it is your home town that you feel closest to. I have found people in sports particularly have a devotion to their home teams and feel a need to support their home town. If you are from Detroit then you already know the feeling of neighborhood that many have in the Detroit area. There is Detroit real estate available for anyone that is looking for a neighborhood feeling in a town with a lot to offer. If you have been thinking of moving to the Detroit area this is a good time. There is rich culture in Detroit and many things to do that everyone can enjoy. One thing that my family and I look forward to every year is the Hydroplane races on the river! It is so exciting to see the speed and technology colliding to make such a huge event. The skill in driving those machines is amazing to watch. It seems that everyone has their favorite that they watch for. Everyone in Detroit looks forward to the races. This city is so pretty at night with all of the lights and energy. There are many great restaurants and clubs to go to as well if you like the club scene. There is something for everyone in the night life arena. It does not matter what you like to do from listening to the opera, being entertained by the theater, studying and appreciating art or being taken on a musical journey with the Symphony Orchestra there is plenty of entertainment to be enjoyed. If you just like to walk along the river and enjoy the water The Motor City has that as well. With a rich 300 year history Detroit has something to offer everyone that chooses to make this their home.

I think most everyone starts out in an apartment and for many they stay in apartments because of the convenience. You can move to where ever your work takes you which cuts down on the commute time. You can find an apartment that fits your needs such as tennis courts, swimming pools or closer to shops and stores. There is something about living in an apartment community that draws people in. There are apartments for rent in just about any area that you may want to live which is another appealing thing for apartment renters. When we first started renting apartments we would rent one we loved and then they would start building another apartment complex closer to our work. We would then find ourselves moving again and then the same thing happened until we found ourselves very close to our jobs! After two years of the convenient location we both changed jobs and the commute went back the other way. We found ourselves working right across the street from our first apartments! We then of course wound up going back to our old apartments and as luck would have it (even though it had been years) we moved back into our original apartment! We have all heard that saying everything goes and comes back again and in this case it could not have been more spot on! We enjoyed apartment living because of all the amenities. I loved the fact if something broke they would come out and fix it. We have always been lucky in the apartments we have rented that we have had good landlords. We make certain and read the small print and we also listen to what others are saying that have stayed in the apartments before we move in. People love to tell you good or bad about a place so it is always good to ask.

I have not rented an apartment for so long now. I was surprised at how apartment living is the same as it was back in my college days. I had a friend of ours come to town and wanted to rent an apartment until he and his family could find the right home. He asked us to look at the apartments for rent and see if we could find him one. We enjoyed going through all of the apartments it really brought back when my wife and I looked for our first apartment. We found the perfect one and my friend could not have been happier. He and his family have decided to take life a little easy for a while and just rent. As he put it if the dishwasher breaks he had rather his wife call the superintendent then him for a while!

How many times had you had the feeling that you were paying more rent then your neighbors? We have all been it that position at one point or another. Now there is a rental comp tool that allows you to find out what your neighbors in your building and the buildings around you are paying for their rent so you will know if you are over paying for the same thing! Now you will be able to put that feeling to rest.

Any and everyone that has been through the experience of building their own home will have a story to tell. There are so many things that create highs and lows during the process but in the end you turn out with a home that you picked out from the ground up and there is something very satisfying about that.The first thing that we did was go over home plans. We looked at all the different styles to decide which we wanted because we were not even sure what we wanted in the beginning. We were in amazement at some of the luxury home plans with there space and beauty. We did have our land and were aware of how we wanted our new home to sit on the property. We were told that we might want to look at cottage home plans since there were others of that type in the neighborhood. We found ourselves going with a ranch style home to take advantage of the amazing mountain views. Which ever plan you choose it is a great experience and we recommend it to anyone that is patient and wanting to have a hand in the design of their home.
