Everyone is looking for new and creative ways to save money. I read every day about people starting some creative businesses or services that I had not heard of before. We are also finding ways to save where ever possible. That means anything we do we check around and we do not just do the same as we always have. It can be expensive to live with your head in the sand these days. There are ways to save and do the same things you just have to read and pay attention to what others are doing. Many people will find a great deal and pass it on. That is what happened when I read an article about prescription eyeglasses. There is an online eye wear company that sells prescription eye wear starting at just $6.95 a pair. I read it twice in case they had misprinted. In fact it is true. They offer selection and specialty lenses at rock bottom prices. I did not have any idea that you could get eye wear so cheap. At these prices you can buy more then one pair so you will have an extra pair should you need them. This is one of those instances where you find a way to do the same thing for less much less. We need our eye wear and now we can have them for a great price.

Teenagers, fashion and rings

Being around a lot of teenagers every day we see things that would have been glared at in the years of our growing up but for the teenagers of today it is the norm. Some things are really in style right now are body jewelry. I does not matter what type of body jewelry it seems to all get attention. We have seen some truly intricate pieces and then we have also seen some that were so simplistic it was surprinsing. It all works as a way for people to express themselves. We were in the store a couple of days ago and this girl in front of us had tongue rings on her mouth that the bling caught my eye. When she saw me looking she smiled and said they are eye catching aren’t they? She said that she and her sister went out together and bought the same rings so they could match even when they we not together. She went on to say that her father and her also shared a tattoo. There was something endearing about her that reminded me of my own daughter minus the rings and tattos for now!

When a friend of ours got his new job he was so excited about many of the perks of the job. They had the insurance that he needed and the vacation time and pay grade was the same as he had before. That meant they would not have to reduce their style of living which made everyone breath a sigh of relief. Another thing that he was excited about is he received a lap top computer of his own and he also got a lap desk that he could use for many purposes. The problem with the lap desk was everyone in his family can see how useful it is and they borrow it. He said often times he does not have it. He decided to fix this problem by giving lap desk to each of the borrowers in his family. He said at least he will have his when he needs it. they have all found uses for their own lap desk so something good came out of this career chance for everyone!

A nice video on how shopping is moving forward with technology. This will happen someday in the future, I am sure of it. When it happens to all places on the planet is anyones guess. Now that all of the US now has digital TV, we are maybe a few years out for this to happen. Enjoy the video.

Behavior can get down right funny

We went to our local pet supply store and it seems everyone had brought their pets that day. The place had as many pets as it did people. Loving animals as we do this made it more enjoyable as we watched the many owners asking their pets which of whatever they were looking at the dogs or cats liked best. Animal behavior has always interested and fascinated us. When it comes to human behavior it gets down right funny. When I went into the restroom there was a large burly man standing by the hand dryers holding a very little dog under it. He was talking to it and making certain that she was not getting too warm as he dried her off. When he saw my face he felt as though I needed an explanation. He said that he took her to the park and they had a blast. She had gotten dirty and his wife would not be pleased that he let her swim in the lake and chase the ducks! So he brought her to the store and washed her in the sink and dried her with the hand dryer before he took her home. The look on his face as if they had gotten away with something was priceless! Even the dog being brushed on the sink as he spoke looked like she knew they had done something bad together! I wish them luck pulling that one off!

The holidays are right in front of us and that means finding some really original gifts for the people on my gift list. My dad and I have always loved watches. I was in a jewelry store looking at the rings for my wife’s anniversary gift when I noticed the diamond engagement rings. They were so beautiful the way they caught the light. It just looked like a new beginning with all of the luster that they had it was like the luster that new couples have as they start out to create their memories to last a life time. I then realized how really symbolic a ring is and it made my ring purchase even that much more beautiful to me and I know that it will to my wife. We have been together for many years and have created many memories together and I am looking forward to creating many more together!

Formula one and watches

I have been a Formula One fan for many years so when a product is associated with the sport I want to read more about it. That is what lead me to then jacques lemans watch. This watch is made by the same people that make the timing equpment for the race tracks. On the race tracks precision is vital and so is durability. When I found out that these watches are associated with the F1 racing teams I knew I wanted one. I am not one of those that have to be associated with everything racing but there are somethings like this watch being from the Formula One team that I am very intrigued by. I do want it partly because of the design and partly because of the history that comes with it. Having something that is associated with Formula One and being such a fan is really a part of it as well. The other part is I love watches and this is a good one. I am so glad you can order it online because I have not seen these watches on our local stores. Now I have to narrow down my choices to one or maybe not!

When there is a problem to be worked out between companies many times the customers are the winners. When things are resolved they are often better then before. This is not the case in the online eye wear vs. in-store eye wear because it is the customer that is caught in the middle. The eyeglass customers understand that the eye doctor’s office has overhead that they have to cover and bills to pay like everyone else. They have to make ends meet for themselves just as we do. That means not being able to give things away for free such as PD measurements. That is understood. Now the customer also has bills to pay which means watching the family dollar just as the eye doctor is doing. The difference is for many eyeglass wearers being able to order their eyeglasses online mean they can actually afford them due to the enormous savings. They do not have to pay the marked up prices that the in store doctors charge which makes the eyeglasses affordable. The economy is unstable at best so families have to find ways to survive financially. Being able to order their eyeglasses online and save so much, especially if you have a family that wears glasses as well, means the world to those that have had to cut expenses to the bare bones! When I read that the eye doctors are not releasing the PD measurements so these families can get the proper fit on the eyeglasses that they are wanting to order it gives me concern. What ever happened to people helping people?
