The Social Networking Storm has applied itself on the internet thru Myspace, Facebook, Linkedin, StumbleUpon, Bebo and lets include a little old website called Twitter. Millions of Internet users and marketeers have made these sites a part of their daily routine to visit and post. I know lots of my time has been spent on twitter and others. Some of their technology features are made up differently, but there are focused on building a community. The different social networking sites users build and develop a sub-culture so to speek around each one. Like the Myspace has migrated to a teen site with Facebook for the college and older group. Still the other have their own demo grapics. It seems the Twitter site is getting all the press on TV, radio and around the internet.

The fun part about social networking the people you get to meet and help strangers connect to each other with shared interests like hobbies, local, political views, career type, or activities they take part in outside of social networking. I talk to one friend in India, New Delhi, that is a far piece from little ol Montevallo Alabama. Go figure.

The basics of Social networking is where individuals form specific groups. Something like the Democrats and Republicans. These groups can also be like your old neighborhood you grew up in, your high school or and your universities. I have noticed that the tons of internet users are looking to meet other internet users. No we are not talking dating services, yes dating service sites are a form of social networking, but I am talking about the others, no matter where there gender is, are looking to develop friendships, common interest groups or even a professional relationship. Forums are good place to inter-act in a social networking source.

Social networking sites function like an online community of internet users. Most of the forums, yes I keep bringing up forums, are online social members that share a common interest such as software users, hobbies, school affiliation, game playing, religion, or politics. Be careful online when discussing religion or politics on line, you will get very bad mouthed during some disagreements. Once you are granted access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize. Start out slow, read and listen until you feel comfortable to start posting. This socialization can include spending some of your time reading the profile pages of other members like your self and possibly even contacting them. Go ahead contact them, you do not know what grand and wonderful things you discuss. They cannot bite you. Do this often, there are alot of interesting folks like you out there in the social blogisphere. Social Networks is about groups and conversation. I have some of the best conversation with others in India. I have learned tons about the culture and everyday like with online discussions from others of different countries, hopefully they have learned something about where I am from.
